PowerMatrix Microarray Slide

Overview

PowerMatrix Microarray Slides are unique substrates for oligo arrays.  They are designed to increase the efficiency of oligo attachment and to improve spot morphology.  Superior to the conventional oligo slides, PowerMatrix slides are coated with our proprietary polymer materials, which create a three dimensional matrix-like surface with multiple functional bonding sites allowing more oligos to be immobilized to the same surface area. 

The coated surface works effectively to immobilize oligos of various length including short oligos, such as microRNA.  Two types of PowerMatrix slides are available, and each is specially optimized to meet the demand for amino-modified oligo arrays or un-modified oligo arrays.

Features

• 3-D porous surface with polymer materials creating covalent bonding sites

• Ultra low background and high binding efficiency

• Produces medium-size spots with diameter size between 140 and 220 um

• Improves signal-to-noise ratio

• Simple hybridization protocol: no need for UV crosslinking

• Coated surface remains stable in high humidity environments

• For un-modified oligo arrays, the slide surface reacts mainly with the OH group on oligos

• For amino-modified oligo arrays, the slide surface reacts mainly  the NH₂ group on modified oligos
